“Answers At Home” instructional program development.
“HOW TO” videos for the operation of consumer electronics.
IDEA: Words With Friends ( c Zynga”) “Clickionary.”
“Learn a word from your word games.” Especially with “Words From Friends”…..this program supplements “ Words With Friends” by adding a “meaning” link to words played by an opponent. For example:
player 1: Plays a word YOU do not know exists.
2: Double clicking on the last word played takes you to the dictionary ( such as Wikipedia) for a full definition.
3: Closing the dictionary brings you back to the game.
Why this idea has sales potential: People, especially young students, are used to playing computer [login to view URL] word games are out there for all ages. However, just about all of the games teach you nothing about the meaning of these word. Used in an educational setting for reading teachers, and used at home just for general knowledge, this program expands the vocabulary for all that use it.
I believe Words With Friends is owned and copyrighted by Zynga.
My background as a degreed educator led me to this need. So instead of a player saying “ that’s a word?) they can double click to be sure it is a word, and what it means.
Player 1 plays the word “ Annelids “
Player 2 double clicks on the word.
Jump to search : Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
The annelids (Annelida, from Latin anellus, "little ring"),[a] also known as the ringed worms or segmented worms, are a large phylum, with over 22,000 extant species including ragworms, earthworms, and leeches. The species exist in and have adapted to various ecologies – some in marine environments as distinct as tidal zones and hydrothermal vents, others in fresh water, and yet others in moist terrestrial environments.
I am the process of registering the idea.
Promotion: Would be done at educational presentations and educator shows around the country. However, the idea could be licensed to the owner of “Words with Friends.”
The goal is to create the program, then make a presentation to a company looking to expand its offerings, i.e. Zinga…..or incorporated in to all other word games as produced by other companies. One that could use it right now, due to the loss of giant toy and game companies such as HASBRO.
