API Automation and Manual Software Test Engineer

AccelaTest is a test case management tool that combines manual tests and API automation in one centralized interface. Having a centralized test bed enables manual testers to seamlessly harness automation API libraries, thus decreasing the test life cycle. The core mission of the Test Engineer is to ensure quality software is delivered with every release. The Test Engineer will be responsible for participating in story refinement, analyzing requirements, and the entire testing cycle. We require all interviewees to begin the interview with a good joke, along with a 60 second pitch on what sets them apart from others. In your cover letter, please explain both your testing methodology (how you go about testing a story) and how you know when you are finished testing a story. Accountabilities: - Create and execute test cases. - Deep understanding of SQL. - Familiarity exercising restful API endpoints. - Familiarity creating automated API tests. - Perform ad-hoc testing and know when a story is ready to be reviewed. Key Competencies: - Experience with PostgreSQL. - Experience testing API endpoints. - Experience with Lean Startup preferred. Our hiring process is: 1. Review applicant’s cover letter and history.
