Sizzle Reel Project Project: sizzle_proj1_name Cut: sizzle_cut1_name 1920x1080, 23.976, 16:9, stereo, H.264 Length :50 - 1:00 apx. Import the Lowrez trailers using the Source Browser. Use only the trailers in the LOWREZ TRAILERS FOLDER This exercise is meant to showcase your ability to cut exciting action montage, integrate dialog bites, sound design and music. The intent is to be irreverent and to have fun with the cut. “Disrepect” the footage, make every cut your own. This Sizzle reel is not meant to advertise any specific film, but to show the sheer excitement, star power, and diversity of these films. Here are some basic guidelines: Must only use the files and trailers from the google drive link. DO NOT USE ANY FOOTAGE FROM “[login to view URL]”. Must use the music provided from any of the trailers, but you will need to edit and remix the levels to match your cut. Must utilize at least 5 different dialog sound bites full up. Must have sync sound effects if provided in the split tracks or utilize effects from other trailers. Using transitions, filters, speed changes, and rotoscoping is highly encouraged for the full grade. A minimum of two examples of a roto transition will be expected for the full grade. Watch the class recording for a demo of how to do this. ONE SHOT RULE: Do not have any two shots that are tied together from any of the trailers. You have to edit each shot, do not just lift a section from the trailer. Do not show me a scene from the trailer, I do not want to know what these films are about. Each shot has to be from a different movie, do not group shots from the same trailer. Do not have any “lip flap” shots, where an actor is saying a line and we cannot hear it. If their lips move, I need to hear what they are saying. Yes, you must use something from each of a minimum of 15 trailers from the google link. You pick which 15 trailers you want to use out of the full list. Do not include any graphics, logos or titles. Be sure to mix the audio levels so that we can hear the dialog, effects and music clearly. Points will be deducted if any of the above points are not adhered to. Cut is due on the last class meeting.
