Windows Inventory & Sales System

I need a native Windows program that keeps my shop’s inventory in sync across two checkout counters, each fitted with a standard USB barcode scanner. When an item is scanned the sale should post instantly, the corresponding stock count must drop in real time, and any SKU that slips below a custom threshold has to pop up on a low-stock alert list. A simple single-role login screen is enough—just basic credential control without layered permissions. On the main dashboard I’d like to see three things at a glance: today’s total sales value, remaining stock for every item, and a clearly highlighted alert section. At the end of each day the system should generate exportable reports (PDF or Excel) summarising sales, current inventory, and a short trend chart so I can spot our best sellers. No machine-learning magic is required; I just want clean, well-arranged data and a couple of straightforward charts. Because everything runs on Windows 10/11, choose a stack that installs easily and works offline—SQLite, SQL Server Express, or a comparable local database is fine as long as backup and restore are straightforward. Acceptance criteria: • Installer and complete source code. • Live test proving both USB scanners update the same inventory file without conflict. • Sample daily report and trend chart that match the specs above. • Short user guide covering installation, everyday use, and data backup.
