Tableau Consultant

Summary/Objective
Collaborate with NextHealth Product and Engineering to maintain existing data visualizations and create new data visualizations. Developer will create relevant, innovative and impactful dashboards that can be utilized across multiple clients and align with NextHealth reporting strategy. This includes identifying participation in the full development life cycle from concept through testing, implementation and maintenance.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Understand complex business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that align with the organizations reporting strategy.
• Research, plan, recommend and create dashboards and data visualization and iteratively design visualizations for initial prototypes that can be presented for feedback.
• Develop rich interactive dashboards that are intuitive and easy to use.
• Transition and refresh existing reports from legacy reporting platforms to Tableau within the framework of the overarching reporting strategy.
• Build and publish customized interactive Tableau reports and dashboards with data refresh scheduling using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
• Create robust documentation of solutions, validation testing and operating procedures for audit and compliance requirements.
• Utilize best fit technologies for ETL to deliver datasets to Tableau.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years Tableau experience.
• Strong database, SQL skills with experience in PostgreSQL or similar relational database platforms.
• Data Acquisition / ETL
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle, project management methodologies and change management.
• Strong analytical skills and data management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM is a preferred.
• Tableau certification is preferred.
Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance or a related field is preferred, relevant equivalent experience will be considered.
• Tableau certification is preferred.
