I need someone who is experienced animating 3D models, to add a 3D animation to 16 seconds of a video clip.
This project is to modify an existing 16-second clip of a scientist so that the scientist’s body slowly turns into a tarantula, and have the tarantula’s body move.
Please start with an existing, realistic, posable 3D model of a tarantula, one that has hair on it if possible. For example, this model: [login to view URL] is a good one for my purpose, because it looks very realistic and it has hair, although it doesn’t have to be this particular model. We should choose a model that works with your 3D software. Once we have agreed together on a particular tarantula 3D model, I would like to purchase the 3D model myself, so I can have the 3D model for future use, and then I can let you use that 3D model.
You can watch the original video of the scientist that I need you to modify: [login to view URL] This video is 1080x1920 (vertical orientation), with transparency. Please preserve the transparency when you do your work, and include the transparency in your final video, because I’m going to add some other elements afterward (like lightning behind the scientist).
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you decide to download the above Vimeo video to work on it, when you click the “Download” button, be sure and choose the “Original” version from the Download list, which is a .MOV file, because that is the version that includes transparency. Videos with transparency are large (this one is 3GB), so it will take a while to download.
The scientist video above is almost 26 seconds long. However, I don’t want to start the tarantula transformation until the 10 second mark, so the first 10 seconds get left unchanged. Starting at the 10 second mark, please slowly transform the body of the scientist into a tarantula over the course of 5 seconds, then by the 15 second mark the scientist’s body is completely transformed into a tarantula, with the scientist’s head on top, and the tarantula body should continue on until the end of the clip. The tarantula body should be moving, so it looks realistic. Since the whole video is slightly less than 26 seconds long, and nothing changes until the 10 second mark, there is slightly less than 16 seconds of video to be modified.
I have created a rough simulation video, so you can get a sense of what I’m looking for. You can see the simulation video at [login to view URL] You’ll notice at the 10-second mark that body of the scientist starts to transform, then at the 15-second mark it’s fully transformed. It’s just a static picture of a tarantula (not moving), and it’s just a quick simulation so it looks dumb and not very sophisticated, but this simulation video gives a general idea of what I’m looking for.
Again, when you export the final video to me, please preserve the transparency, because I'm going to add other elements to the scene, behind the scientist/tarantula.
