Task: To create a scale 3D model of a protective carry case for an Apple iPhone, based on provided specifications, diagrams and 2D artwork.
You will be provided starting specifications as specified by Apple for their iOS devices. The base for our design will be from these specifications.
The design to be modelled will consist of the "main artwork" (the back of the protective cover) provided as 2D vector art. The appearance will resemble an extrusion of the 2D artwork.
Remaining specifications for the technical fit of the protective case; such as for openings for buttons, speakers, other sensors/ports, and assembly will be described in a detailed document with accompanying drawn diagrams.
The target for this stage of development is to produce 1-2 prototypes.
We expect mild design changes on the initial design (such as changing thickness of certain material, optimizing location and shape of openings).
A final revision shall be minor tweaks to the fit and finish.
