We are looking for a programmer who can handle the Unreal Engine, specifically with the creation of a module that connects the character created in the Metahuman Editor to a text-to-speech - generated mp3/wav file so that the speech animation looks natural (facial expressions - lip movement, head, body). We have already solved the text-to-speech generation (via Microsoft Azure).
The goal is to have a 3D character that we will send an audio file to (which will be generated outside the Unreal Engine) and the character will animate and reliably imitate the real movements of a person when speaking - all in real time. So it's just a matter of creating a script that will control the character.
We anticipate that our project will not be absolutely realistic, there will be differences in facial expressions - due to different languages. Ideally, the movement would be based on the kind of sound. We need it to mimic facial expressions + head movements as much as possible. The final project will say short sentences of about 5-10 words.
