? Hiring a Creative & Hardworking Video Editor for Iceberg YouTube Channel We are launching an Iceberg-style YouTube channel and need a skilled, dedicated video editor to bring our content to life. Our niche covers the darker side of the internet, including lost media, eerie websites, and digital mysteries. If you enjoy crafting engaging, atmospheric, and visually immersive videos, this job is for you! ? What We’re Looking For: ✅ Expertise in visual storytelling – You should have an understanding of subtext, the Kuleshov Effect, and montage theory to create compelling visuals beyond the script. ✅ Editing philosophy – Videos must stay engaging throughout, blending infotainment without feeling like a Wikipedia page. ✅ Visually engaging editing – Use motion graphics, eerie transitions, and B-roll footage to enhance storytelling. Stock footage should be avoided where possible. ✅ Strong sound design & music use – Audio should complement the visuals, creating an immersive experience. ✅ Attention to pacing – The video must remain engaging and visually alive without dragging. ✅ Consistency & commitment – This is a long-term project, with one video posted per week. ? Role & Responsibilities: ? Edit long-form YouTube videos (50-70 min) with high-quality motion graphics, B-roll footage, and cinematic effects. ? Use footage from documentaries, films, and real-world sources to make segments feel authentic. ? Create smooth transitions between iceberg levels with repeatable motion graphics. ? Follow scripts & research docs while sourcing additional footage to enhance storytelling. ? References: Channels that best represent our style: SIRIUS Nick Crowley Study their hooks, pacing, and engagement techniques. We will provide additional research to help you understand our approach. ? Compensation: ? $1 - $2 per minute of edited footage ? ~$80 - $140 per video (Based on 50-70 min video length) ? Rates will increase as the channel grows We want an editor who is in for the long haul—this will be a steady and rewarding project! ? Trial Task (Paid upon Hiring) To assess your skills, we require a trial edit: ? YouTube Controversies Iceberg – Edit one full segment + the hook of this iceberg. ? Voiceover: Trial VO provided ? Script & Research: Provided upon request ? Media Elements: You must source additional footage to enhance storytelling. ?
