Board game board visual art

A friend and I have designed a cooperative board game and would like to print it so we can play with family and friends. The board layout has been designed, but we'd like an artist to bring our creation to life (ie give it the detail that would make it look like a real spaceship), as neither he nor I am particularly creatively inclined.
The game is space themed, and the players' purpose is to get a falling-apart spaceship from one planet to another. Players encounter mechanical failures along the way and randomized special events ranging from asteroid belts to being boarded by space pirates.
The board is shaped like a circular, spinning spacecraft in which the pull of gravity would come from the outmost wall (similar to the one from the movie The Martian). It has eight compartments and each serves a different function -- cargo hold, water reservoir, oxygen tank, space cannon, greenhouse, shield generator, medical bay, and engine room. There are also three vacuum tubes spaced out on the board where players can access items from the cargo hold (these are in grey on the board attached). The colors we've chosen for the rooms have meaning elsewhere in the game, so we'd like to keep those consistent. We'd love to see a space background as well, either a galaxy vibe or a planet in the background if it wouldn't detract from the board too much. I've attached images I found on google of the type of spaceship we're hoping to see.
The vibe of the game is both tense and whimsical. The gameplay vibe is similar to the board game Pandemic in that you're working together in a race against time where the stakes keep getting higher, but players encounter absurd randomized scenarios like space pirates, getting parking tickets, space termites, and the mainframe gaining consciousness.
