we need a system set up to eaisly manage order processing, this will require typing the customer name to bring up input data from both myob accounting system and online CRM so we can choose which data to use for the delivery address, invoice address etc
Entering a product code or quote number will pull data from quote register and/or product data (both in excel) to create the relevant information eg product code, product description, cost price etc and will also calculate the estimated GP on the job.
it will need to be set up in a clear easy to read format so anyone can easily check details of the order and needs to be simple to use so an intermediate user of excel can use it.
the system will need to handle single or multiple items in 1 order.
We will need the system to send purchase orders to suppliers with relevant information either as pdf attachments or in body of email, i think a macro would be best for this but am open to suggestions. the system will also need to create an order confirmation for the customer with just the information that is relevant to them.
the system needs to create a new line and assign a new job number for each item in a job tracking register so it can be tracked through the production stages.
this sytem will need ot be accessed by multiple users at the same time and needs ot be fast and stable.
i would prefer to use excel but am open to using other sytems such as access if tha tis better. please reply with your recomendation of whether to use access or excel for this system
