Need someone to make a program similar to DrDepth (http:/[url removed, login to view]) but without all the bells and whistles.
It gets data from gps and sounder and generates a depth map of the sea.
I would like to use either the [url removed, login to view] or DotSpatial maps. The program will receive the NMEA data via serial port and then plot the track and depth onto a map. The map should be just blank if there is no internet connectivity but it still needs to plot the track and depth. When connected to the internet it will show background map from google etc.
I would like it to be able to upload map details to a mysql database on demand and also download data from mysql. The purpose is sharing data with other users. No need to map the seabed where someone else already done it.
When the program is done, I will release it as open source just so that everyone that want, can use it without paying $150 for drdepth + everyone can help with further developement/improvement.
I would prefer to have it done in [url removed, login to view] but c# would work too.
