The make-or-break part of any booking engine is preventing a double-booking when two guests reserve the last room at the same moment — so availability has to be claimed as an atomic database transaction (reserve the room within the payment flow, release it if payment fails or times out), not a "check then book" that races under load and sells the same night twice. I'd hold rooms briefly during checkout so a guest isn't beaten to it mid-payment, with Stripe handling the card so details never touch your server and you stay out of PCI scope. Payment confirmation drives the booking via webhook, not the browser redirect, so a dropped connection after payment never leaves a guest charged with no reservation. Multilingual I'd build so all content — rooms, promotions, static text — is translatable from the admin with English first and new languages added without code, checking layout at each language since text length varies.
