Job Description:
Hi, I am looking to get a web scraper built to extract data from an Australian racing website - racingandsports. I need to be able to extract data from 1 specific page but for multiple races per day. The URL is very simple the only thing that changes is the date, track, race number and country. The main page of the website will have all the tracks/races listed there to extract the URL from.
Id prefer this to be built in python and have each track with multiple races exported to CSV so I can all extract all races for a selected date all at once. There may be some data formatting needed depending on how you get the data to extract.
I have attached some images to show where the data lies.
RAS1 - this is where the race URLs can be found for a specific day. I need to be able to extract from a future date, current date or potentially the day before. The main page URL is highlighted up the top
RAS2 - Once in the Race URL, I will need data from each race. The 4 tabs highlighted Field, Times, $, C&D Box Adv I will need all the data from here. Note that the website will need a login to extract all the runners data.
RAS3 - On the same Race URL as in RAS2 I will also need the data for every runner in the race. There is some data I dont really need which I have crossed off but if it is easier to just extract all the data then that is okay.
