I have planned out exactly how I am going to do this project. I am going to use Python 2.7 + Selenium. It will be quite slow, but I don't really see a way how to get the coordinates without Selenium, because TripAdvisor uses Javascript to render the map (which contains the URL-coordinates). I hope you pick me :)

I have made scripts in python , kornshell and have worked on selenium too. Also I have made a prototype script based on your description of the problem. Its build using python 3.5 and selenium 2.53.1. It waits for the src element to change, which happens when i click on the location and then I splice the string to get latitude and longitude which is the desired output.
