Web browser kiosk for factory time capture interface with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

We are a SME company manufacturing electrical-mechanical equipment with less than 30 shop floor workers, and 20 to 30 open work orders at any given time. We are located in Portugal.

Our project is a Web Browser user Interface and software to allow the Workers on the shop-floor of an industry equipped with ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business central, to capture their time occupancy on the several projects/work orders opened in the ERP.

The idea is to have a PC with a browser in the shop floor displaying the work-orders, and capture the start and finish of each operation. This project is a first step for a improvement program to increase the level of automation at our shop floor.

The system is to be based on a hardware terminal (touch screen computer + linux mini computer + RFID card reader + Web Browser).
