These three Associations are currently preparing to launch a Job and Career Web Portal to facilitate prospective jobseekers (students, alumni, professionals etc) and their pursuit of public sector jobs. For this web site we are looking to develop a professional logo. APPAM: Is dedicated to improving public policy and management by fostering excellence in research, analysis, and education. The involvement of policymakers, practitioners and scholars in the Association's governance and the Fall Conference. ASPA: The American Society for Public Administration is the nation's leading public service organization advancing the art, science, teaching, and practice of public and non-profit administration. NASPAA: The National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA) is a US based association of 253 U.S. university programs in public affairs, public policy, public administration, and public management. The Association works to promote and advance the MPA (Master of Public Administration) and MPP (Master of Public Policy) degrees. The expectations and requirements from the logo are as follows: OVERALL LOOK For our overall look, we wish to appear fresh, updated and modern with an emphasis on commitment, career opportunity and professional advancement. This is all within the context of public service as defined by working in government, nonprofits, NGO's and consulting. COLORS, TEXT, ELEMENTS We wish to have a strong blue and green color scheme. We want the palettes to be vibrant and alive with an intuitively academic/thoughtful feel. •The logo needs to have professional, academic and welcoming view •The measures of the logo need to be compatible with a standard banner, the width of which should not be longer than 750 pixels wide. •The logo needs to incorporate words “Government”, “Nonprofits”, “Consulting ", “Academia” as well as the following URL: “[url removed, login to view]” •All text/words should be written using one of the following fonts: Arial, Tahoma, Verdana, Trebuchet MS, Georgia, Century Gothic, Aroma, Avenir, and Century Gothic. Please advise what you think works best. •Be creative, artful and use your imagination to reconcile our expectations with the best features of graphic design. •The logo should be prepared in two colors, one for use with the dark background and one for use with the light background. •Higher resolution versions of the logo will be needed for print uses. •With the logo's completion the three organizations will receive all the copyright and trademark rights.
