We have a linux box set up that we use to convert media files (audio/video/images) from one format to another. The files are stored on an NFS mount and the linux box is issued an ssh command to convert the files from one format to another (in a new file on the NFS mount).
We need to keep this system working, but we also need the ability to process new formats. We would prefer to have the linux box do all the work, but there is a windows box you can use. Tell me in your bid if you feel you need the windows box, but keep in mind the command still has to be sent to the linux box to do the work. You'll have to figure out how the linux box will foward that to the windows box.
These are the new formats we need:
ADP - its a microsoft codec im almost 100% sure of it.
MMF or SMAF - YAMAHA codec pretty sure we need it on the windows box.
WMA and WMV - no explanation needed.
We also need the ability to manipulate midi files crop them change the volume.
Also make sure you tell me the commands to do the conversion (if they use mplayer of ffmpeg, or something custom you made). You should also be online on MSN, AIM, or yahoo for me to talk to.
Post on PMB if you have any questions.
