I need a new all-in-one website solution for my start-up business and I am not working with a huge budget. My initial site will be an internationally-focused ecommerce website selling products globally in the English language. It should be clean, clear, efficient, simple, and effective as it will eventually be translated into multiple languages at a later stage once capital allows for it (if you can provide multilingual versions of the webpage at an affordable price it would definitely be a plus). I want to integrate two outstanding platforms. Chase Paymentech Merchant Services and [url removed, login to view]'s network. You can find Orbital (chase's proprietary payment gateway) technical specs for programming below although they may be somewhat outdated. ([url removed, login to view])
The website must pass Chase Paymentech Certification process!
Chase Paymentech also offers their Instant Store front™ that has some excellent building tools and a rep will work with you for shopping cart integration (they provide a shopping cart.)
The other platform is [url removed, login to view]'s applications and pre built storefront (if needed). I will choose either Chase Paymentech's Instant Storefront Template or one of [url removed, login to view]'s appealing templates to begin from. This will cut down on A LOT of time and effort from building a website from scratch.
Some important points about what’s needed:
Installation of an SSL (which will be provided to you)
Ajax driven API's
Spoken language selection boxes that will be linked to the corresponding domains
Dynamic pricing to be selected in multiple currencies with real time conversions
Maximum SEO (white hat) page rank, ppc, keywords, Google ads, etc
Add multiple shopping items to the web pages with a customized spreadsheet
Use Unicode for the ability to support many characters and scripts
I will provide text content and don’t require a writer
Host Processing Platforms - PNS and Salem.
SOAP, WSDL, XML
Not biased on programming language but should be one of the standards like PHP, C#, Ruby, Cold Fusion, Java, etc. As long as it integrates both platforms.
This might seem like a lot of tasks to execute but the two platforms come with a huge amount of resources, info, and help from customer service representatives so you will have a big toolbox to work with and a jumpstart with a solid template.
The last service I need is customer support for my website that could include live chat, email correspondence and a call center for handling all of the logistical communication for my website. Some manufacturers I work with may provide these elements but I will be doing business with multiple manufacturers so I will need a unified consistent system but I think Shopster's network applications will greatly simplify this process.
This phase is somewhat separate from the web design that I need but I think it is beneficial for me to mention it in case your company provides this as well for an all-in-one solution. Although I am not a programmer I understand the basics to the nature of what they do and I am technically literate so it should be easy to keep an open line for mutual communication. I don’t mind giving room for subjective work and freedom to my web page where the developer sees fit but I am meticulous and I will need all of my requirements included. If I am pleased with the end product for the price I pay, a new prolonged contract could be a welcomed result. I am not looking for to keep changing companies constantly but conversely I am also selective. So while I will need some continual maintenance for my site I refuse to pay prices that are not competitive or comprehensive.
