General Idea:
Website will be a Shopping Cart site. It will have home page, category pages, product detail pages, cart page, checkout page, and CMS pages.
Other pages include:
- About Us
- FAQ
- Contact Us
- My Account
- Order History
Technologies and Programming Languages:
I will be using PHP as programming language and MySQL as database, jQuery, Ajax will also be used for animation, sliding, carousels, etc.
Home Page:
Home page will be a standard web 2.0 page, it will have a standard header containing logo, navigation, and other info. After header, home page will have an animated jQuery Slider and there will be featured products on home page too.
Wallpaper should be of a gym locker room with products resting on a gym bench and customer can drag and drop products into a gym bag (cart)
Category Page:
A category page will have list of products, each product will have a link and will show bundles of products as examples and offer a 3 product bundle, 5 product bundle and the ability to add single products to a bundle at a discount.
Product Page:
Product page will be a standard product details page, it will include Product main image, thumbnail images, name, SKU, description and all other info with add to cart button.
On Product Page, customer can select different mix of products. It will behave like a bundle product. From there customer would be redirected to Cart Page. There will be multiple layouts of products. Single products will have option of different layout and bundle product will have different layout to select different mix of products.
Cart Page:
This will be a standard shopping cart page. Customer should have the option to have the same bundle delivered on a monthly basis (or time period specified by customer (example: every 30/45/60 days)
Checkout Page:
After pressing “Continue to Checkout” from cart page, customer will be redirected to Checkout page, here customer will provide billing and shipping info, and will review order, and then will place order. Checkout page needs to be a single page checkout vs multiple steps.
Admin Panel:
There will be an admin panel to manage all contents of website, CMS Pages, Sliding Images, Categories, Products, Products Mixes, etc.
