does PNG, GIF and JPEG.
We are able to use it for $30 – site license $300 – cheap and good.
What we need is to have this integrated into an appliance (read a 1 U rack server running Suse Linux) so that we can hand it a string of URLs, which generates an HTML page....which is then turned into an image, per the tool above.
I would like to have the mechanism work like this:
- We create the Web pages and populate them
- We hand a list of URLs and delays to an IP address that the appliance is on
- The appliance then fetches the page at each URL, generates an image of each, then puts those images into a GIF89a (animated GIF) with an inter-frame delay as specified in the request for each URL. The GIF loops forever. The appliance then hands back the GIF to us.
- The resulting image is then sent to the user (by us) as a GIF89a embedded in an e-mail through partner's gateway.
