Our store is built on Shopify and we are looking for a custom product builder. We’ve had a look at the apps and found they don’t really fit our needs.
We are looking to build a bespoke tie page where the customer can choose from a range of options to create there own tie. Below is an approximate outline of the functionality.
The top section will be ‘Choose Your Fabric’ and on a desktop there will be 4 images across the page and there will likely be something like 100 fabrics total (so therefore 25 rows). We would also like the ability to filter by fabric type, so Silk, Wool, etc so once a fabric is selected on those will be visible and all move up (so there are not large gaps on the page).
Each fabric will have the name below and then an information icon which if they click on it, it will give them more information on a pop up of the fabric type. To select a fabric the use will click on it which will have some sort of highlight around it to demonstrate that it has been selected. At this point they’ll probably get a ‘Confirm Selection’ button which if they push collapses the fabric section and only leaves their selected fabric viewable.
Then the next section will be below the fabric will give options for length and width. The user will select from two drop downs and then confirm these sizes.
This will open the next section which they choose from two finishing options. The user will then confirm the selection.
Which will open an Extras section. There will be another couple of options which they can choose from and then confirm.
This will open the Complete section which will be a summary of all their choices for the Fabric, Length, Width etc. At the bottom will be the final price and an add to cart button which will then take them through to the cart page which will again have the short summary of the product they’ve selected and then the user can go through the normal check out process.
Other than the above, we'd just need to work out how to upload the various assets and how the price is calculated.
