PROJECT DESIGN

I. Company Website Description

a. [url removed, login to view] is the main website. On this site you will find NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB, and Nascar links. For this project I would like to focus on all the NCAA, NFL teams I have listed and the main page for NBA and MLB not the individual teams. If you click on the teams for the NCAA and the NFL you will see there are specialized domains for each team. The template is the same for almost all of the teams.

b. My business is an affiliate business. I drive traffic to my partners site and they handle everything from there. From credit card transactions to shipping the merchandise.

c. Most of my traffic currently resides from the Pay Per Click Market on Google, Yahoo, and MSN. I would like to create more than just a landing page and have more content on the site. The goals will explain the first phase on how I want to get there.

II. Goals of this Project

a. The main goal of this project is to create a data base from an excel spreadsheet data feed provided from my partner

i. The Server I have my site hosted on has the following software running on it

1. MySQL

2. phpMyAdmin 2.6.0-p13

ii. I have full admin control of MySQL and the phpMyAdmin

iii. Attached is an example of the data feed. There could be 200 to 1000 items for each team

III. Design

a. Template for each team.

i. Use existing Template style

ii. I would like the item centered in the page

iii. I would like a text box below the item to be able to put custom description

iv. I would like the image and any links to go directly to the partners site for that specific item

IV. Deliverables

a. Create a data base that gathers the data from an excel spreadsheet data feed

b. Import excel spreadsheet into MySQL

c. Create a Web front end template for MySQL for each product and each team for the NCAA, NFL, [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view]

d. Customize each template to work with each specific team
