Desktop Development & GUI: Download Manager

We are looking for a GUI artist and developer to handle a multi-platform download manager. Need individual applications developed for Windows, MacOSX and Linux. High budget (over $5000), and bonuses available upon successful completion. - The application will be a sophisticated download and file manager that interacts with a cloud computing system through the use of well-documented APIs. - The GUI must be sleek, efficient, modern, stable, robust and very intuitive. This means there will be a large effort going into designing the UI. We will assist with graphics design and provide feedback throughout the design stage. - The main functionality is to handle uploads/downloads of large files to/from a cloud system. Important functions will be: bandwidth maximization (splitting file in chunks and running concurrent upload/download sessions), pause/resume (particularly when operation has been interrupted), unattended batch functions, links validation before downloading, and browser integration. - Other functionalities will include: account management (displaying/modifying the cloud account details), file management (browsing, organizing, renaming, tagging, etc.) of files stored in the cloud system Source code must be well documented and properly structured. Notes - We will only consider top-tier developers for this project. Don't waste your time and ours if you don't consider yourself an excellent programmer with skills way above average. - Not interested to deal with large software houses using Microsoft-centric technologies such as .NET - All proposals will be evaluated against previous projects involving UI design and multi-platform development. If you are not strong in these areas, don't bother. - Successful project completion will lead to a massive bonus, more projects and even integration with our very successful Internet cloud company.
