From there I rebuild the existing pages on that system rather than patching the current layout, then add the new pages you need using the same components so everything feels like one site. For responsiveness I check every breakpoint in the Wix editor (desktop, tablet, mobile) and hand-tune mobile stacking, font sizes and tap targets, since Wix's automatic mobile view rarely looks clean out of the box.
