Have tried to improve site speed using various cache plugins and minify etc. However these plugins crash the site with a 500 server error - at various odd intervals. Have tried different settings etc. Not sure if problem is plugin or server.
Need someone to optimise the site so it is fast.
Ensure that the problems are not with the server (am suspicious that server isn't very cache friendly?)
Also I need to ensure that the plugins on my website are working (e.g. I suspect that the WP Super Cache plugin has probably made an Email integration plugin for Gravity Forms fail - the Constant Contact plugin for Gravity Forms).
Also I had some security work a while ago and some code was placed in the htaccess file by the security expert.
On recent 500 server errors the tech staff at [url removed, login to view] have renamed my htaccess to bak and I have a basic htaccess file now for the site. I need to 'rescue' the good code from my old htaccess file - but couldn't work out which line was causing the problem with the server and why.
a) Site speed optimisation (with recommendations on whether to switch hosting provider)
b) Reuse the good code from the old htaccess file
c) Gravity Forms Constant Contact plugin to work.
