I'm experiencing a problem with my school's directory website that I built following a tutorial. The website structure is based on states and cities, where users can browse schools by location.
The Problem:
When I navigate from the states page to any city page, I see the exact same 6 schools displayed for every city, regardless of which city I select. The schools are not being filtered properly by location - instead, the same 6 schools appear everywhere.
For example:
If I click on California, then Los Angeles - I see these same 6 schools
If I click on New York, then New York City - I see the exact same 6 schools again
This happens for every city I navigate to
The schools should be filtered based on the city taxonomy, but this filtering isn't working correctly.
Technical Details
The website is built with:
WordPress
JetEngine plugin
Elementor Pro
Custom taxonomies (States as parent, Cities as children)
Custom post type for schools
I believe the issue might be with:
The query configuration in JetEngine Query Builder
The relationship between taxonomy terms and posts
The template configuration in the Theme Builder
The Dynamic Visibility settings
I've confirmed the data was imported correctly with WP Import, but something in the configuration is preventing the proper filtering of schools by location.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hi,
I can help you fix the issue where the schools are not being filtered correctly by city on your WordPress directory website. It seems like the problem lies within the query configuration, taxonomy relationships, or possibly the Dynamic Visibility settings in JetEngine.
Here’s how I can approach it:
Check the JetEngine Query Builder: I'll ensure that the query for filtering schools by city is correctly set up and tied to the right taxonomy terms (States and Cities).
Verify Taxonomy Relationships: I'll review the relationship between your custom taxonomies (States and Cities) and the schools to ensure the proper filtering logic is in place.
Adjust Template Configuration: I'll examine the Template Builder in Elementor to ensure the dynamic content for schools is set up properly, filtering by the chosen city.
Review Dynamic Visibility Settings: If any Dynamic Visibility settings are misconfigured, I’ll make adjustments to ensure the correct schools are displayed for each city.
Let’s fix this so your schools show up correctly based on the city and provide a seamless user experience.
Best,
