My client have a music site - page for each CD and have a flash player displayed on the page that draws info from XML files. The page contains a list of titles of all the songs - user can click on the song name and a clip of that song will play in he player. The player also has its own next - previous - controls.
My client who owns the site has a Mac - the pages work great on PC - and the player works fine on Mac - he can listen to songs and use the next and previous controls that are directly on the player. - BUT ... - he can't use the song links - nothing happens.
Attached is the code that we are using - need to have the links work on both PC and MAC!
I corresponded with the client and asked if he is using Safari and if he is using either IE or FireFox on his PC.
The is using Sarfari on his Mac and is using IE on his PC.
I told the client that all he will need to do is go into the Global Security settings for the Flash Player, click on the "Edit locations" drop-down box and click on "Add location"
in the "Trust this location" dialog box type the URL you are having the link problem.
click on "Confirm"
Close Safari and then open it back up.
What I described is found here: [url removed, login to view]/[url removed, login to view]
My client get back to me and says --
"That doesn't fix the hundreds of thousands of Macs across the world that he wants to all be able to use his site! - fixing one computer is not the issue - we want the site to work on all computers! - we can't do this to all of the Macs in the world :) "
I'm waiting for the client to present the URL that he is having the problem with the links.
If can solve this based on the coding I presented you, I will be forever grateful.
This issue will need to be completed quickly as the client wants this finished before 5:00 p.m. EST Tuesday, February 27, 2007.
THE PRICE FOR THIS PROJECT IS $8.00 USD AS THIS IS A SMALL CODING CORRECTION JOB.
