The scope of the Project was to find a way of anchoring 2 previously installed Transmission Towers in a remote location to prevent overturning after these were reconnected with new Power Transmission Cables. As a solution, Concrete Blocks were considered, with enough mass to be able to guarantee a stable or static condition for both the Tower and the Foundation when taking into account Uplift and Horizontal forces. The end result were Large Reinforced Concrete Blocks with Steel Plates bolted to the top in order to connect the Tension Cables that ran from the Towers to the Concrete Elements.
