I am a South African Graphic Designer, currently residing in Johannesburg, Gauteng. I have been in the Graphic Design game for about 10 years, including time spent studying at the University of Johannesburg.
6 Years of my career were spent at Bentel Associates International, an architectural company focused mainly on large retail and mixed use developments in and around Africa and India. My main tasks included branding, graphic and signage design for most of the companies projects, as well as handling all in-house design before the new brand was adopted in September 2010.
Notable projects that I've worked on include clients such as Pick 'n Pay retailers, who are one of the leading major Supermarkets in South Africa. I was actively involved in conceptual design as well as implementation of all in-store signage, prior to their 2009 re-branding. (However signage concepts were still implemented.)
Work also includes all master planning and overall signage design and implementation on South Africa's first underground railroad (The Gautrain), which also included the first route map design.
Other work such as Legacy Corner and The Da Vinci Hotel & Suites (Sandton, Johannesburg), as well as Manda Hill Mall (Lusaka, Zambia) also required conceptual and production ready branding and signage design, and I managed those aspects on the jobs.
I have since shown a keen interest in Web Design and have been getting more involved with Flash and Actionscript as a new design medium. Other areas of interest also include 3Ds Max and rendering 3D Models.
My personal design strengths lie within Logo and Corporate Identity Design as well as Branding.
