My name is Stephanie and I am a freelance writer living near Sacramento, CA. My passion lies in writing business, health, how-to and personal essays, however I have written all types of articles and business documents. My portfolio of work includes business plans, resumes, ad copy, interview/profiles, investigative news articles, business profiles, book reviews, training manuals, PowerPoint presentations and website content. In 2003 I resigned from my 11-year career in the Silicon Valley and opened a used bookstore! My co-workers thought I had lost my mind, but I have finally found my sanity! In my former technology career, I worked as a Technical Instructor, developing training manuals and delivering classes all over the globe. I also had a healthy career in software sales (which led to an ulcer and an extreme desire to live a better quality of life).
The bookstore allows me time to focus on my writing career, not to mention the luxury of being surrounded by books all day. Since leaving corporate America (with my running shoes on), I am now working as an Associate Editor for the City Times and Gold River News. I am also President of the Sacramento Writer's Group.
Writing is my passion and I take it very seriously. I will meet any commitments that I make and always strive for the highest quality. I have set high standards for myself and I believe that is reflected in everything I do. I will never accept a project that is outside of my area of expertise. I am a business owner and I understand that time is valuable and you don't have any to waste. I am looking forward to making contacts within this community.
