My final submission to the Houdini/Mixamo/Polycount Costume Character Contest. Participants were required to create a 3D bipedal character using the 3d application of choice, upload the finished 3D character onto Mixamo.com for rigging and animation, and then import the animated character into Houdini for cloth FX setup and simulation. Finally, all the shading, lighting & rendering was to be done using Houdini's Mantra renderer. The character design went through numerous changes. I originally had planned to have my character wearing an armor-heavy spacesuit that was about 70% or more complete. Unfortunately, I had to scrap all of the work on the armor and instead gave him a simple cape. Otherwise, there was no way I would finish on time. I only had 1-2 days to learn how to use cloth within Houdini, a few hours for texturing, less than a day to light and render using Mantra, and even less time to assemble the final video. DCI Marketing Group, Inc. approached me to assist them in creating an interactive display that would be used within Scion showrooms. Using the LiveGuide system, potential customers would be able to customize various Scion models and have the vehicle priced out before making a final purchase. I was responsible for all of the 3d work, which included shading, texturing, lighting setup & rendering with V-Ray, and some modeling using Maya. Each vehicle could be viewed from several angles, so there were tons of various render elements that had to be created. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the final retouched renders and animation. Scion LiveGuide Interactive Display

Reach Creative hired me to do all of the CG on their WMS Gaming iPad app and brochure. Some 3d modeling was required to fill in the gaps that the CAD file did not provide. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the final retouched images since I did not work on the compositing. So, I've uploaded a WIP render created during the project.

Fun project done in collaboration with the talented Erik Jensen (9North.com) back in 2011. I mainly worked on the fruit gummies and wrapped versions of the candies while Erik did everything else. I don't have access to the final artwork other than what can be found on the Jolly Rancher web site and of course the Jolly Rancher packaging. Here is just a sample of some the work done while on the project.
