I am a freelance writer/photojournalist/illustrator looking to publish in consumer and trade publications, as well as newspapers. I consider myself a Jackie-of-All-Trades reporter, because I have covered a wide-variety of topics including politics, education, green energy, sports, entertainment, non-profits, business, home and garden, health, faith, local news, human interest stories, and more. My objective is to stay independent, but if an interesting staff position becomes available, I will consider that as well. I would like to spread numerous messages on subjects that I find change people and are important to many ideological perspectives. I want to support my family through this kind of work. Everyday I hope to also put a smile on at least one person's face. Humor is something I believe is hard to cover in writing, because it's all about having good timing. I have good timing. That is one of my best qualities. All and all, I want to educate, inform, persuade, and inspire people from all walks of life.

His all too familiar melody
Village News
The guitar-sound anticipation longs for the strumming to begin. Will it be lonely, swift, or someplace other than this? A man on stage quiets the rush and lays it all on the line for a room full of strenuous one-two, one-twos, staring with their starry eyes. The room is quiet except for this soft glow in the left corner, a limelight to strum for; so he starts again with the real one-two, one-two that he’d like to offer her along with a smile. It’s a fate kind of thing that he thinks can either be s
Temecula family members share rare bond

I did my homework on this piece. There were so many medical terms I did not understand at first. I read all about what it is like to have different heart disorders. This family is unique, because the mom, and her and her husband's two children have pace-makers. I am including an excerpt for you to check out. Excerpt A Temecula mother, son and daughter share a rare bond. Each of them has a pacemaker, and they call themselves "The Three Fixed Hearts." Melissa, Chance and Cadence Mitchell live with

This is a business profile I did that was included in the advertiser's contract. Advertorials are sort of a part of what we have to do in this new school of journalism, since the bubble burst in 2008. Betsy Augustine says, being able to style hair well comes with experience. She is certified by Paul Mitchell. She has a long list of clientele. And, this eco-friendly hair stylist is still excited about what she does after being in the business for so many years, going through so many different products t
