Over the last 20 years, organisations have built point-solutions to meet specific business needs. In times of change, the organisations have moved on, and customers needs have evolved, resulting in mis-alignment between the processes a business uses to serve their customers and the underlying IT to support those processes. Often their are gaps - such as compliance risks and even issues - and overlaps as people move departments but fail to let go of their old role or have experienced issues with data quality so re-do others' work for them. I have had over 20 years experience as a business analyst, working for consultancies and in-house for a FTSE 100 retailer and a major UK airline. I am based in London, UK, but can travel up to a 2 hour radius from north London. My role is to bring those requirements into the clear light of day and enable organisations to simplify their processes and the IT that supports them. I offer facilitation workshops to brainstorm risks, understand requirements, build simple models of business processes and the flows of information they need. I offer analysis services to model the underlying IT that supports those processes, document the gaps and overlaps and prioritise the business requirements to reduce risk and deliver real customer benefit. My rates are reasonable, with a 50% reduction for charitable organisations (for short projects). In short my role is to Simplify IT
