BarskyDiamonds.com - Complete Website Overhaul
For a period of time I was responsible for the technical maintenance and further development & design of BarskyDiamonds.com, the online gateway for a Philadelphia diamond and jewelry store. The owner had purchased a very expensive ready-made specialized jewelry eCommerce solution, developed by an US company, which they installed in full encryption and did not provide any tech support for. I was hired to implement changes within the functionality of the website and also maintain it. During my time with them I was forced to almost completely re-write the front end of the site, with some level of modifications to the back-end and the database structure too. This was probably one of the most challenging projects I've worked on. All the source code was encrypted, and with a custom solution which had absolutely no documentation available at all, I had to figure out my way through it based solely on the database structure and basically re-write the site.
