Translators We have 12 in-house sworn translators and editors, certified by the Ministry of Justice of Romania, for the following languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian. The candidates for an in-house position in our company have all graduated from the Faculty of Letters, specialized in the foreign language he/she translates from/into. We are focusing on their progress and ability to become real professionals and provide high-quality services. Throughout the years, we have implemented several test and evaluation methods, according to which we have been able to keep the best translators, the most experienced of them being in charge with proofreading and editing. In addition, for other languages, we currently work with over 50 off-site translators, selected on the basis of rigorous tests. Each external translator is evaluated by one of our in-house proofreaders, who proofreads the document translated by the collaborator, and fills in a Freelancer Evaluation Sheet, which includes several evaluation criteria, such as grammar, terminology, overall translation skills, comprehension of the source text, etc. The proofreader also provides a feedback and decides whether the collaboration with the external linguist shall be continued or not. ? Quality management Being ISO 9001:2008 certified, we make sure that our translations meet high quality standards, and a detailed work procedure is implemented for this purpose. The translation workflow since the project is awarded to us to the moment we deliver it follows the following guidelines: 1. the project manager evaluates the project, identifies the field and appoints the most suitable translator(s) ØØ 2. the translator performs a detailed analysis of the text ØØ 3. identification of the field (if he/she has dealt with this type of texts) ØØ 4. consultation of TMs/glossaries; if it is a new field ØØ 5. performs research on similar articles, gets information on the subject ØØ 6. the translator performs the translation ØØ 7. when the translation is complete, it is sent to a proofreader who checks it for grammar, syntax and spelling errors ØØ 8. the translation is sent to an editor, who makes sure that the correct terminology is used ØØ 9. the translation is sent to the project manager, who sends it to the client. We always ask our clients to send feedback, in order to improve our services in the future. For a perfectly organized translation flow, we use the translation project management software Projetex. Our daily output is approximately 3000 words / day / translator, depending on the language pair and the nature and difficulty of the text. ?
