I'm a 49-year-old journalist with 20 years of desk and freelance experience. I am a former editor of a several small Louisiana daily newspapers and the managing editor of a larger Louisiana daily. I have written freelance articles for the Associated Press and the now-defunct United Press International, as well as Newsweek and The Nation. I am MCSE certified, and proficient in Peachtree and Excel. I received a B.A. in English and Journalism in 1980 from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. My husband, Ross, and I have been married for five years. I have a 20-year-old daughter, Marguerite, from a previous marriage. I also enjoy gardening, movies, reading and music.
