My name is Elizabeth Lahey. I am an award-winning senior graphics designer with over 15 years of digital graphics and video design experience seeking to place my extensive creative talent and experience within the publishing and or marketing industry. I have designed trade-books for Pulitzer prize winning authors, won the National Business, Stevie® Award for best video production in 2008, and had my fine art carried by the Guggenheim Museum Store in NYC. My art direction in film-video, and graphics experience as well as my production management in publishing, retail and consumer-goods, make me a uniquely qualified designer. I have a diverse and well-rounded creative background that enables me to provide, clear, consistently excellent, and meaningful design communications with professionalism and energy. For the past six years I was the in-house senior designer, responsible for consumer-retail product lines for the American Animal Hospital Association. These publication designs ranged from highly technical medical and financial business material (converting excel tables sheets into handsome reference guides, to consumer/point of purchase retail products (health and behavior brochures) in the pet industry. As the production manager for AAHA Press, and Irvington Publications in New York, I was responsible for calculating and analyzing financial data on a daily basis. I tracked the sales reports, wrote purchase orders based on ratio of sales to inventory counts. I approved and processed all production invoices. I have expert working knowledge of the latest Adobe Creative Suite 4.0 software, MS Office Suite.I taught Quark Express to the United States Air Force reserves at the Buckley Air Force base in Aurora. I have designed and copy-edited many publications, and marketing materials for web, print and video. Add to that my retail environmental design for Samadhi Yoga Center and Denver Fabrics, and you have a very talented and conscientious designer capable of handling any layout/art digital program, and integrating web-graphics to match printed campaigns. I am currently developing graphic strategies for a wide variety of industries.
