I have been a professional software developer for 22 years. Over the last 9 years, I have become interested in web development, using XHTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, XML, AJAX, DHTML, and SQL, while keeping my skills current as a desktop application developer. Much of my desktop application programming was done in C++ and SQL, using Object Oriented development methods and UML. A lot of that development involved the MFC windows class libraries, along with threaded applications, COM, DCOM, XML, and some other technologies. I have also done limited work with the .Net technologies, VB.Net, C#, and [login to view URL]. I have led teams of up to 8 developers, worked as a project manager, and worked many times as a team lead. I have worked in all types of development - front end, back end, middleware. I have architected databases and complete systems from start to finish many times over my career. I have worked in most industries and for companies ranging in size from 2 employees to 130,000 employees.
