PROJECTS DETAILS:
Document Retrieval System:
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT :
This application provides an online web based document retrieval system based on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern to manage document retrieval from different branch of the embarkation head quarter. A lower class employee can’t see the document of the higher-class employee. But a higher-class employee (officer) can see the document of the lower class employee. A leave application can send to the officer from an employee that is accessible to the officer. But a promotion list that is maintained by an officer is not accessible to the employees.
The main purpose of the system is presented under the following broad heads:
· Login Process
· Create master Information
· User Information capture
· Role Information capture
· Provide role to the users
· Provide role to the documents
· Store document Information
· Retrieve document Information
· Response to the document
Role in Project:
Led a team of 2 in the functional structure and overall physical design, documentation, coding, testing and implementation phases.
Yellowstone System:
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
The Yellowstone was an assessment material (questions) to the existing online web based assessment program.
This was an online web based application. It provides flexibility to choose best items (questions) for the assessment program.
It gives a facility to change the items (questions) from the existing assessment program. It retrieves items (questions) xml from blob data
type of the oracle database and adds to a pool. This pool will finally convert to the assessment material for the online assessment program.
Role in Project:
Led the project independently in the functional structure and overall physical design, documentation, coding, testing and implementation phases.
Online Assessment System:
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
This application provides an online web based assessment program based on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern to display the data
on the screen and manage the data updates as the user interacts with the item. Data to be displayed on the screen (student name, question x
of y etc.) and the states to be maintained (current item, item answered or not etc.) are stored in the model in the form of an xml snippet and
this data is bound to various UI elements on the screen.
The goal of the MVC design pattern is to separate the application object (model) from the way it is represented to the user (view) from the
way in which the user controls it (controller). The model object knows about all the data that needs to be displayed. It also knows about all
the operations that can be applied to transform that object. The view object refers to the model. It uses the query operations of the model to obtain data from the model and then displays the information. The controller object knows about the physical means by which users
manipulate data within the model. When the user interacts with the UI (clicks on go on button, clicks on the answer choice etc.) controller
will be notified about this event. Controller will update the data within the model and then ask the view to update itself. View will read the updated data from the model and repaints itself.
Role in Project:
Led a team of 3 in the functional structure and overall physical design, documentation, coding, testing and implementation phases.
Student Web Services:
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
The Student Web Services was a comprehensive system of data collection, processing and reporting designed to help high school students develop postsecondary educational plans and to help postsecondary educational institutions meet the needs of their students.
The ACT testing programs are classified into two models, the National Model and the Non-National model.
In the National model of testing programs students pre-register with ACT for taking the test. In the Non-National model students do not
have to register with ACT for taking the tests. Hence Non-National examinees will not use the registration feature on the Web, but they
could use other services such as Early Scores, ASRs, Order Product/Services, View Score and Recipient History, etc.
The main purpose of the system is presented under the following broad heads:
· Login Process
· Personal Information capture
· Non-cognitive data capture
· National AAP/OSUS Testing Programs Registration
· State Testing
· View Score
· Additional Score Reports
· Order Product/Services
· View Codes
Role in Project:
Led a team of 3 in the design, documentation, coding, testing (unit/peer to peer/Integration) and implementation phases.
ACT Assessment Program:
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

day-to-day business.
The ACT testing programs are classified into two models, the National Model and the Non-National model.
In the National model of testing programs students pre-register with ACT for taking the test.
In the Non-National model students do not have to register with ACT for taking the tests.
The National model offers the following programs:
· National Testing Program (including Extended time and School testing)
· Outside the US Testing (OSUS)
· State Testing (each test program is customized to individual States that have contracts with ACT)
Role in Project:
Led a team of 3 in the design, documentation, coding, testing (unit/peer to peer/Integration) and implementation phases.
Used Microsoft Visio as design tool.
Office Automation System:
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT :
The Office Automation System has developed by STG to automate the operations of NSIT comprising of Finance & Accounts,
Stores & Purchase, Establishment & Academic sections using existing campus wide Intranet. N Tier architecture was used to separate
data layer, business layer and UI layers. The system should be able to provide timely and necessary online data to the authority of the
institute. The system should even provide a way for the institute to effectively, reliably and securely manage their affairs while
effectively throwing a perpetual open house on the Internet & intranet as required.
The main objective of the system is as follows:
· Workflow based paperless office automation system for the Institute.
· Minimized data entry and redundancy, and better management of data.
· Data Security and user authentication.
· Faster and quick implementation of business processes.
· It should be able to support variety of institute functions
· Distributed client server approach for better accessibility to centralized data.
· The system would also allow access to students for viewing information related to admissions, examinations, academic calendar etc and also to the Delhi Government departments to view relevant reports for the purpose of monitoring.
· The accounting functionality in the system would be as per prevailing accounting standards & acceptance by the Delhi / Central audit.

Embarkation Automation System (Army):
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT :
The Embarkation Automation System has developed by STG to support smooth Functioning of Embarkation Headquarters, Mumbai. Embarkation LAN constitutes a shared Ethernet, with a pair of servers and through modems connects Staff to the Docks, Camp.
Employees can share documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and reports between computers; they can communicate via e-mail; and the Embarkation can save money by sharing printers, modems, and hard-drive storage between users. The Administration Branch monitors all the processing and activities done by other branches or sections. Accounts Branch and AO (DAD) monitor financial related activities. The routers determine the best possible paths for sending data and avoiding breakdowns in communications. Through the router's lookup table, changes in the network are reported to the routers and the tables are updated with information about the new configuration. This enables IP traffic to be rerouted if, for example, a network change prevents the sent message from reaching its destination. This ensures continued communications. EMBHQ data, such as employee lists, resource materials, and accounting facilities, are also accessible from anywhere on the intranet work through routing. Authorized users can access this information from their offices and interoperate with others around the CAMP, Docks, and EMBHQ, using the Embarkation Application System.
