At the core of my teaching and linguistic services is my vast experience of more than 30 years as a professional writer in many Communications departments for federal government agencies and departments, private industry, non government organizations and agency public relations firms. A former re-write editor at the Montreal Canadian Press, Michael Reilley has been involved in major writing projects such as Multiculturalism Canada's first National Business Policy Plan, annual reports, major communications plans and discussion papers, speech-writing for federal and provincial officials, feature articles, media relations, brochures and employee/manager newsletters, among many others. He was Editor of: "Buildings Progress", marketing newsletter, BC Buildings Corporation; "Contact", Canada Post Corporation Marketing and Customer Service newsletter; "Interface", Canada Post Corporation Information Technology newsletter; "Ensemble", Canadian Human Rights Commission employee newsletter; "Champion News", Canada's Climate Change Voluntary Challenge and Registry Inc. external newsletter, and was a member of the National Task Force to produce nine divisional employee newspapers for Canada Post Corporation. Other writing assignments included handling all National French media relations for the first National Access Awareness Week, including production and writing of 21 bilingual profiles of people with disabilities; development and the writing and marketing of a book and poster of 50 profiles of people with dyslexia for the Canadian Dyslexia Association in conjunction with the Canadian Human Rights Commission. Whether your needs are simple or more complex, our editorial services can provide well written, well researched English communications of all types. Michael has his MA, Communications and his public relations certificate, and was a past Board Member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS), Vancouver Island chapters.
