Keith Karnes started his own law practice and needed a fresh, professional website. Keith is already somewhat familiar with WordPress, so he wanted us to create a custom theme and initially place the content due to time constraints. It was imperative that this website be responsive, i.e. mobile friendly. He wanted to simplify the mobile version, which meant hiding and/or rearranging some elements for smaller devices. Other design cues were added, such as texturing, to give the site a more classy look. For instance, there is a gradient strip effect along the bottom of the white header area and a solid gradient in the navigation menu. For the overall background behind the main content, there is a pattern of tilted boxes that mimic the Karnes logo. The design included some custom features, such as a “floating” drop down menu embedded in the home page header picture. They wanted redundant navigation so that users would have multiple options of finding the information they needed.
