Latina Quince and Bridal Expo
The Second Annual Latina Bridal and Quince Expo based in Salem, Oregon will be on February 24, 2013 and they needed a new look for their website. For the first year, the site was a basic installation of WordPress and a pre-designed template and the organizers wanted a more unique look for the second year and moving forward. The previous site used solid colors in the header, footer and main content areas, but we wanted to step it up a little bit with textures and shading to make the site more vibrant to visitors. The previous design provided a horizontal navigation in the header with a full-width slider directly beneath that, which pushed the main content down the page. The organizers wanted to bring the content up to make it more visible, so we placed the primary navigation along the left side with a slider to the right of equal height as the navigation menu. This caused everything to move up the page, making the important content more visible.
