I have been writing professionally for some 15 years. I have written numerous articles for various clients and for myself. I have considerable experience of writing for the American market as well as for the British market. I fully understand the subtle differences between American English and British English, including the spelling. I have a thorough understanding of English grammar and syntax and I pride myself on my ability to produce consistently accurate spelling. I am capable of writing on almost any subject, and I have many years of experience behind me in conducting research into unfamiliar topics. In addition to my online writing experience, I also have a substantial offline writing experience. For a while I was the editor of a small monthly magazine serving the county of Shetland in Scotland. I currently write a weekly column for a small Scottish newspaper that was voted "Scottish Newspaper of the Year" for three years running. I have also had short stories and poems published in various print magazines. I am British and my first language is English. I currently live in Spain where I moved with my family in April of 2007.
