Originally trained as a musician, Joseph Talleda has recently started a career transition that is pointing him toward the field of information technology. He is currently in the second semester of the Computer Programming Certificate program at Miami-Dade College, where he has completed Introduction to Microcomputers and the first semester of Visual Basic 2010. A recent spare-time project in Visual Basic was of a musical nature and consisted of a program for an application that calculates and displays prime forms for pentachordal pitch-class sets. This semester, Mr. Talleda's coursework at Miami-Dade College consists of first-semester classes in C++ and Java. Joseph Talleda has years of experience working with word-processing software. He devoted more sustained study to Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint 2010 in the introductory course on microcomputing he took last semester. He also has years of experience as a typist from typing his own research papers and dissertation while a student. On his most recent typing tests, his scores were approximately 65 wpm. Mr. Talleda's experience working with non-computer languages includes native-speaker ability in English and Spanish. In German, he has three semesters of classroom German, several months of private study with a tutor, two on-site German-language courses in Salzburg, Austria, and several sojourns in Germany and Austria. In French, he has one semester of accelerated classroom study and a one-semester course devoted exclusively to French pronunciation for vocalists. He is also familiar with Latin and beginning-level Japanese. Joseph Talleda's university studies were at the University of Michigan, the Yale School of Music, Arizona State University, and the University of Miami. He looks forward to a happy collaboration with clients at [login to view URL].
