slimDESIGN worked closely with the client to develop a relationship and understanding of what they would like the website to achieve. The client identified key requirements that the website would be developed to. The website was built on WordPress due to the reliability, customisability and secure nature of the system. It was also a cost beneficial solution due to WordPress being open source, reducing development time required and being free to use. The design went through rigorous iterative process to produce a finalised design, from this design the theme for the website was developed. The website utilised a number of free to use plugins and widgets that were tested to determine if they were fit for purpose. The plugins and widgets were configured and in some instances customised to fulfil there functional requirement as well as themed to match the design of the website.
