The biggest incomes are from gas and oil, but important sources due to its socio-economic factors are the local stores in residential areas of cities and villages, many of which are opened 24/7 the whole year. For the average Russian citizen these schedules are common and people are used to this abnormal normality. There are a big variety of stores: from pharmacies and product shops, to flower stores, car washes, underground casinos, saunas and more. These small pavilions are a heritage of a post-Soviet era, when people started to be allowed to have their own affairs. Some got in the oil and gas businesses, and others opened these stores. At the same time, these shops may be a projection (wanted or not) of a dreamlike-government, where everything works round the clock, 24 hours a day and seven days a week, and where people do everything they can, to save a little money.
