The Wireless Mood Detector is a wireless audio system controlled by the user's emotional state or mood. It uses two noninvasive biological sensors to detect the user's skin temperature and heart rate. A PIC microprocessor takes in the sensor data and transmits it wirelessly to a desktop PC. The Mood Machine software on the PC then correlates this data to a particular mood and plays music from a user-defined list. 1.1 Subprojects The design was broken into different parts, which each perform specific tasks. The parts we decided to implement were: 1.1.1 Temperature Sensor The temperature sensor measures the user's skin temperature by using MTS 102. 1.1.2 Pulse Sensor The heart pulse sensor measures the user's heart rate using an EKG and converts it into a simple waveform inputted to the PIC microcontroller. 1.1.3 PIC Microcontroller We used the PIC16F877 microcontroller as the processing unit for the sensors and to trans
