I've been working on the web since its inception, almost 15 years now. With that came experience with Apache, Perl, PHP, MySQL, Linux, FreeBSD and several other open source tools that help make the web run. I have helped secure websites from SQL injection and other variable tainting, gotten broken systems quickly back online, and helped companies move their operations to cloud computing to make them more nimble and less reliant on hardware. I've used and built sites using many of the Perl- and PHP-based MVCs such as CakePHP, Codeigniter and Catalyst. I've done extensive work doing custom Asterisk AGI coding, integration of services with Amazon's S3, web API development and implementations, and helped integrate backend systems with NetSuite. I'm very keen on code reuse, building simple reusable frameworks that make testing, debugging and running code easier to manage. I support open source solutions when feasible, and am always considering scalability in everything I do.
