Responsible for improving email deliverability and providing technical guidance to product team with best practices when sending daily deals e-mails. Worked as tech lead and developer on the first version of Peixe Urbano's Email Marketing tool, where we are able to send out many custom e-mails using a very simple Web GUI. This application was made with C# .NET, jQuery and CSS3. Also, was part of the team that created Peixe Urbano's Email Sending System, called Oceanmail. This system was entirely written in Java, where we used JBoss application server to get the the e-mail message template, parse it for each recipient individually and send it to our MTA server. Configures and takes care of the MTA infrastructure, that uses Message Systems Momentum for Sending software. Wrote all the policy in lua script, that selectes what IPs segment should be used to send the message. Attended Message Systems conference called Interact 2012: Engage!, it was held in August in the city of San Diego, California. Also attended as a guest at MAAWG. This meeting happened in Baltimore, mid October of 2012. At Peixe Urbano he was able to learn many new languages, working with PHP, C#.NET, Java, Python, Perl, LUA, CSS3 and Javascript. Also became familiar with Scrum and Kanban, which we kinda transitioned from one to the other over time. Also learned how to build software with quality using TDD and Automated Testing.
